Found him on the 1892 Olean, Cattaraugus, New York state census (E.D.06 img 12) as
Gustavis Finger age 12.
Found him on the 1900 Olean, Cattaraugus, New York census (dist 60 img 23) as
Gustavus Finger age 20. Address: 209 Eleventh.
Found him on the 1910 Olean Ward 6, Cattaraugus, New York census (dist 003 img 8) as
Augustosus Finger age 30. He is single and living at home. Tank builder, oil company
WWII Draft Registration
Gustave E. Finger, 209 N. 11th St. died at the Olean Nursing Home Saturday afternoon following a long illness.
Mr. Finger was born in Germany Jan. 14, 1880, and for many years he was a resident of Port Arthur, Tex. He was an iron worker by occupation.
For the past six years, he has made his home with his sister, Miss
Clara A. Finger.
Besides his sister, he is survived by two brothers,
William Finger, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and
Albert Finger, Hornell, N. Y.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Olean.
The body has been removed to the Halwig Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Tuesday (Nov. 9. 1954) at 2 p.m. The
Rev. Clyde R. Hahn, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church will officiate, and burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. -
