The Register November 14, 1884
Frank Fingar was not so well on Saturday and Sunday. His family and friends have felt quite sanguine of his recovery lately, and any unfavorable change in his condition created serious alarm. There is a good deal of genuine sympathy manifested for him in the community, owing to his youth and the fact of his recent marriage. The prayer of the good and the wish of all is that Frank may be restored to health. -
The Register December 5, 1884
Frank Fingar died very suddenly on Tuesday morning of this week. His father had left him only a short time before, and reported at the post office that Frank had spent a rather uncomfortable night, but was much better then. Mr. Fingar left the office soon after, and had been gone only a short time when the word came that Frank had just expired. Thus has ended the life of a promising young man.
Only lately married, his temporal prospects very fair, and life's joys apparently awaiting his partaking. He suffered much, but the last days of his suffering were characterized with patience and submission to God's will. He died in the blessed hope of a blissful immortality. - Obituary The Register December 26, 1884
