Craryville, NY - Glenn S. Fingar, 76, a lifelong resident of Columbia County, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Great Barrington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Barrington.
Mr. Fingar attended Germantown Central Schools, was a Real Estate Broker for over 40 years, and was the owner of Glenn Fingar Real Estate. He was a 50 year member of the Churchtown Fire Co., and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Craryville Cemetery.
Mr. Fingar was born September 21, 1928 in Snyderville, NY, the son of Morton and Hazel (Tripp) Fingar. On June 1, 1962 in Hudson, he married Shirley H. (Smith). Mrs. Fingar survives at home in Craryville.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a step-son Dell Scutt, and his wife Barbara, of Craryville two granddaughters, Kristie L. Scutt of Hollowville and Deva L. Scutt of Craryville, a sister-in-law Shirley M. Fingar of Red Hook two nieces Carol Clements of Elizaville and June Johnson of Red Hook and one nephew Terry Fingar of Elizaville. He was predeceased by a brother Clyde Fingar, a sister Doris Fingar, and a step-son Rick Scutt.
