Death has again entered our midst, and taken from us Mrs. Julia Fingar, wife of John Fingar, who was found dead in bed Saturday morning. An inquest was held by coroner Wilber, the verdict, death by heart disease. This is a severe blow to the family and her many friends. Mrs. Fingar was a noble woman, a kind wife and a loving mother.
She leaves besides a husband, 3 children, 2 sons and 1 daughter, who will greatly miss the loving bands of a dear mother to care for them. Their many friends extend their heart felt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
Funeral services were held on Monday at Gallatin church and interment in the cemetery there. - The Pine Plains Register December 9, 1898
