, of Auburn, was in Albion the other day and accused Richard B. Parker
of being an accomplice in a burglary. Parker had him arrested for slander, and he was held in $1,500 bail. - Albany Evening Times

Jacob W. Fingar
has brought a suit for slander against Harriet J. Ward
, a clairvoyant living in East Washington street. He alleges that the defendant charged him with being the cause of her husband's illness, which resulted fatally, and with having swindled her out of thirty-six dollars. The defence is a general denial with a statement that all Mrs. Ward did was to state what she believed to be the facts. - Syracuse Weekly Express
